SPECIAL RELEASE No.3

Update on institutional measures regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic

The emergency measures adopted by the federal and provincial authorities of Canada, in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic have intensified due to the increasing number of cases in the country. In order to respect the closure of borders for non-essential travel, as well as the limitations on collective activities and restrictions on in-class courses, UNAM-Canada has taken the following decisions:

Regarding its courses:

1) Cancel the PUMA Summer 2021 in-class courses, allowing time for the conditions to be conducive to ensuring a full and quality cultural and linguistic immersion experience, in complete safety for our students and community.

2) Continue offering Spanish and Culture courses online during the Spring and Summer 2021 terms.

3) Open registration of online English and French courses for the Summer 2021 period that will take place from June 28 to August 6.

Regarding its administrative activities:

UNAM-Canada staff will continue to serve the public in remote working modality by channeling its services, both for its activities and projects and those of UNAM abroad. Likewise, its facilities will remain closed according to the indications of local and federal government entities until further notice.

Please note:

Communication with the staff should be via e-mail. (Consult the directory).

We will continue to report the progress and possible changes established by the authorities through our website and our social media.

We extend our invitation to all interested to consider our online courses.

We invite you to take into consideration that attending and respecting the hygiene and isolation measures established by the authorities will allow us to get out faster of this situation that affects us all.
