Overview of the presentation:
Since the beginning of the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Program (SAWP) in 1966, different actors like government institutions and private organizations around the world among others, have created narratives related to SAWP as an example of a pattern of legal, safe, and organized migration. These narratives have perhaps shaded the everyday life of migrants and their families. These discourses have focused on the labor and economic perspective leaving aside the humanity nuances of the migration. Maternity narratives help us reflect on the several dimensions that pervade migration processes.
